Hit-and-Run Accident on Highway 74 in Meadowbrook Badly Injures Rider

 
MEADOWBROOK, CA (February 4, 2021) – A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a hit-and-run accident on Highway 74 Wednesday night.
 
The hit-and-run accident happened around 6:15 p.m. at Hammack Avenue.
 
CHP officials said a 24-year-old Lake Elsinore man was riding his 1985 Suzuki bike westbound with no lights.
 
An eastbound gray 2006 Ford pickup truck made a left turn onto Hammack and hit the motorcyclist at the intersection, causing the rider to be thrown from his bike.
 
Responding paramedics transported the motorcyclist to Wildomar’s Inland Valley Medical Center with major injuries.
 
The Ford driver parked the truck in the roadway of northbound Hammack Avenue and fled on foot. A witness who saw the crash and the truck driver fleeing was not able to provide a description of the person.
