69-Year-Old Man Suffers Broken Leg in San Diego Motorcycle Accident on Coronado Avenue near 16th Street
SAN DIEGO, CA (April 25, 2022) – A 69-year-old man sustained serious leg injuries following a motorcycle accident on Coronado Avenue on Thursday evening.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened on April 21 at about 6:51 p.m. A 2002 Toyota Corolla reportedly attempted to make a left turn from 16th Street. Then, the vehicle collided with an eastbound 2003 Honda Shadow motorcycle.
Paramedics transported the motorcyclist to a hospital for treatment of several fractures to his left leg. As per reports, the rider is expected to recover soon.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Toyota remained at the scene. Neither the driver of the Toyota nor his two passengers sustained injuries.
San Diego police ruled out impairment as a factor in the collision. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
