Rider Dies after Crash with Big Rig on Highway 152 in Los Banos

 
LOS BANOS, CA (August 29, 2022) – A motorcyclist died in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 152 just west of Los Banos on Friday morning, August 26.
 
The accident happened around 5:20 a.m. at Volta Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, 60-year-old Isidro Ramirez Meza of Dos Palos was driving a 2021 Peterbilt big rig east on the highway when he attempted a left turn at Volta Road.
 
The truck turned into the path of a man riding a 2013 Harley Davidson heading west. After that, the vehicles then collided in the intersection.
 
As a result, the motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The victim’s identity has not yet been released pending family notification.
 
Meanwhile, the truck driver was unharmed.
 
According to the CHP, neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
