Rider Dies after Colliding with Jeep on Mines Road in Livermore Area

LIVERMORE, CA (March 14, 2022) – A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic accident on Mines Road south of downtown Livermore on Saturday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 1:30 p.m. on March 12. According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist collided with a Jeep Wrangler for unknown reasons. The impact threw the motorcyclist off their bike.
 
Responding paramedics rushed the victim to Eden Medical Center, where they later succumbed to their injuries.
 
The identity of the motorcyclist was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
 
CHP officials are still investigating the cause and factors involved in the crash.
