Motorcyclist Dies after Colliding with Pickup Truck near Pineridge Drive in Granada Hills

 
GRANADA HILLS, CA (February 28, 2022) – A motorcyclist was killed in an accident on Balboa Boulevard in Granada Hills Saturday afternoon.
 
The accident happened just before 3:00 p.m. on February 26, near the intersection of Pineridge Drive and Jolette Avenue. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the motorcycle was heading southbound when it ran a red light. It then collided with a pickup truck at the intersection.
 
The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
The driver of the pickup truck remained on scene. Paramedics later took them to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
 
Police are still investing the circumstances surrounding the accident. It is unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol was involved.
