Motorcyclist Dies after Crash with SUV on 45th Street in Long Beach

 
LONG BEACH, CA (September 10, 2024) – A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic accident at 45th Street and Long Beach Boulevard in Long Beach on Saturday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 9:40 p.m. on September 7. According to the Long Beach Police Department, a 2021 Honda CR-V was heading southbound on Long Beach Boulevard toward 45th Street and merged into the left turn lane to go eastbound on 45th Street.
 
As the Honda was turning, a 2003 Yamaha motorcycle going north on Long Beach Boulevard struck the car’s right passenger side.
 
As a result, the motorcyclist suffered severe injuries. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital, where he later died.
 
The name, age and hometown of the motorcyclist were not immediately available.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the CR-V stayed on scene and cooperated with police. They sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
