Motorcyclist Dies after Rear-End Crash with Tractor Trailer on West Main Street in Turlock

 
TURLOCK, CA (July 12, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed in a rear-end accident on West Main Street Friday morning in Turlock.
 
The accident happened just before 9:00 a.m. on July 9 near North Clinton Road. According to the Turlock Police Department, the motorcyclist slammed into the back of a tractor-trailer in the 4400 block of West Main Street.
 
Arriving paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but the motorcyclist died at the scene.
 
The driver of the tractor-trailer cooperated with the investigation and was not injured, police said.
 
Investigators believe speed was a factor in the crash, but it is unknown if drugs or alcohol were also a factor. They asked anyone with information to call Officer Michael Simbalenko at 209-668-6523.
