Late Afternoon Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 24 in Orinda Leaves Rider Dead

 
ORINDA, CA (July 11, 2022) – A motorcyclist died in a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 24 in Orinda on Sunday afternoon, July 10.
 
The accident happened around 5:42 p.m. at Wilder Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist and four other vehicles collided for unknown reasons. The impact caused the motorcycle to spin out of control off to the right shoulder. It then went down an embankment.
 
Prior to the crash, the motorcycle was reportedly speeding.
 
First responders attempted saving the motorcyclist, but the unidentified victim died at the scene.
 
At this time, CHP officials are still investigating the accident.
