Speeding Motorcyclist Dies after Crashing into Wall, Hit by Vehicle on 8 Freeway in El Cajon

 
EL CAJON, CA (December 5, 2022) – A motorcyclist died in a high-speed accident on 8 Freeway in El Cajon Friday evening on December 2.
 
The accident happened just after 8:00 p.m. on the transition road from southbound Highway 67 to the westbound 8 Freeway. According to the San Diego Sheriff’s Department, the motorcyclist was speeding at over 100 mph when he crashed into a transition wall. A vehicle then struck him.
 
As a result of the crash, the motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was a 33-year-old man.
 
At this time, authorities withheld the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
 
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
