MODESTO, CA (July 6, 2021) – A motorcyclist died in a head-on accident on Highway 132 in Modesto Friday evening, July 2.
 
The accident happened around 9:45 p.m. just west of Albers Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, 26-year-old Courtney Green of Modesto was driving a 2014 GMC west on the highway when she entered the eastbound lane trying to pass slower traffic. That was when she struck an eastbound 2007 Harley-Davidson head-on.
 
The motorcyclist, a 50-year-old Waterford man, died at the scene.
 
His passenger, a 45-year-old woman from Waterford, was taken to Memorial Medical Center with major injuries.
 
Meanwhile, Green sustained minor injuries.
 
The identities of the victims were not immediately available.
 
No arrests were made at this time. This fatal crash is under investigation.
