Traffic Accident at Coffee and Crawford Roads in Modesto Kills Rider

 
MODESTO, CA (June 2, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic accident at Coffee Road and Crawford Road in Modesto Friday afternoon, May 28.
 
The accident happened around 1:45 p.m., just north of Claribel Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, 36-year-old Jesus Alejandro of Ceres was driving a 1996 Ford Explorer north on Coffee Road with a 35-year-old passenger. The 19-year-old Modesto man was also riding his motorcycle north directly behind the SUV.
 
At some point, the motorcyclist collided with the front left side of the SUV, ejecting him into a field.
 
Arriving paramedics rushed the motorcyclist to a nearby hospital, where the victim succumbed to his injuries about three hours later.
 
No one in the SUV sustained injuries from the crash.
 
CHP officials are still investigating the accident to determine the cause and factors involved.
