Roseville Man on Motorcycle Dies in Citrus Heights Accident on Birdcage Street

 
CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (June 23, 2021) – A motorcyclist died in an accident on Birdcage Street in Citrus Heights Monday evening.
 
The accident happened around 8:05 p.m. on June 21 near Greenback Lane. According to the Citrus Heights Police Department, a motorcycle was heading northbound on Birdcage Street when a vehicle coming from the opposite direction turned in front of it. The motorcyclist veered off the road and struck a tree head-on.
 
The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Authorities only described him as a 34-year-old Roseville man.
 
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with officers.
 
Officers said neither intoxication nor speed appear to have contributed to the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
