Three-Vehicle Accident on 80 Freeway in Sacramento Leaves Motorcyclist Dead

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (December 16, 2022) – A motorcyclist died in a three-vehicle accident on 80 Freeway in Sacramento Tuesday on December 13.
 
The accident happened near the transition ramp for 5 Freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, a motorcycle, a sedan, and a big rig collided for unknown reasons.
 
The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, was killed in the crash. His identity was not immediately available pending notification of next of kin.
 
Officers do not have details of what caused the crash, but confirmed that neither drugs or alcohol are a likely factor.
 
An investigation is underway.
