Motorcycle Rider Sustained Leg Fracture after Hit-and-Run Crash on Market Street

SAN DIEGO, CA (February 7, 2021) — A 20-year-old motorcyclist was hurt after a hit-and-run crash on Market Street on Thursday, January 28.

The victim rode his 2003 Harley Davidson eastbound in the 4300 block of Market Street at around 10 p.m. Thursday. Then another motorcyclist swerved and hit the Harley. The impact caused both riders to lose control and collide, San Diego Police Department Officer Robert Heims said.

The suspect went back on their motorcycle and left the area. Officials have not yet determined the make and model of the suspect’s motorcycle.

The Harley rider suffered an open fracture to his lower right leg. Medics brought the rider to a hospital with minor injuries, Heims stated.

Heims said that there were no witnesses to the incident. The suspect of the hit-and-run crash is still at large.
