Head-On Accident in Llano Kills Gina Brown, Injures Marybell Delgadillo and Maria Lozano

LLANO, CA (March 2, 2022) – A motorcyclist died in a head-on accident on Pearblossom Highway in Llano on Sunday, February 27.

Police identified the victim as 48-year-old Gina Brown of Palmdale, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.

The accident happened around 1:15 p.m. on Highway 18 west of 263rd Street East. According to the California Highway Patrol, Brown drove a 2020 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, with a male passenger, eastbound on Pearblossom Highway.

For an unknown reason, the motorcycle traveled over the double yellow lines into the westbound lane. As a result, the motorcycle crashed head-on into a 2021 Toyota that was traveling westbound on Pearblossom Highway, according to the CHP report.

The impact ejected both riders from the motorcycle. Soon after, Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.

Los Angeles Sheriff Air Rescue Helicopter #5 landed on the highway to transport the motorcycle passenger to Antelope Valley Hospital in critical condition. However, their names have not yet been released.

The two occupants in the Toyota — 31-year-old Marybell Delgadillo and 67-year-old Maria Delapaz Lozano, both from Littlerock — suffered minor injuries and were not taken to hospitals, according to the CHP report.

No further details have been provided at this time. However, the accident is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Antelope Valley Office.

We offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Gina Brown.
