Highway-Speed Accident on Sherman Street in Fresno Leaves Rider in Critical Condition

 
FRESNO, CA (February 16, 2021) – A 25-year-old motorcyclist suffered critical injuries after a high-speed accident on Sherman Street at Ashlan Avenue Tuesday afternoon.
 
According to the Fresno Police Department, a dirt bike was traveling northbound on Sherman Street at a high rate of speed. The rider did not stop for cross traffic at Ashlan Avenue and collided with a vehicle traveling westbound.
 
As a result, the motorcyclist suffered major injuries. First responders rushed them to a hospital in critical condition.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle was not injured and remained at the scene.
 
Police are still investigating and did not suspect alcohol or drugs as factors.
