Man on Dirt Bike Struck, Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver on Paradise Road near Vernon Avenue in Modesto

 
MODESTO, CA (February 22, 2022) – A 34-year-old Modesto man was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Paradise Road, Wednesday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on February 16 at about 7:39 p.m. A northbound dirt bike entered the intersection and collided with an eastbound vehicle near Vernon Avenue.
 
As per reports, the rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. Officers later pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the name of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
However, the driver of the vehicle did not stop to render aid and immediately fled the area.
