Motorcycle Rider Killed in Fiery Crash on Torrey Pines Road [La Jolla, CA]

Motorcyclist Dead in Fiery Accident on Torrey Pines Road near the Torrey Preserve

 
LA JOLLA, CA (December 7, 2022) — A 55-year-old man died in a fiery crash on Torrey Pines Road near the Torrey Preserve on Monday, December 5.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened shortly before 6:45 p.m. on 11900 Torrey Pines Road.
 
A Triumph motorcycle rider moved southbound on Torrey Pines Road. Then he crossed into the northbound lane, colliding head-on with a 2016 Toyota 4-Runner.
 
Both vehicles caught fire. It resulted in the death of the motorcycle rider. First responders pronounced him dead at the scene. His identity was not immediately available.
 
Both occupants of the 4-Runner did not sustain any injuries.
