Motorcycle Rider Killed in Highway 101 Crash in Redwood City
REDWOOD CITY, CA (May 1, 2023) — A motorcycle rider died in an accident on Highway 101 near Highway 92.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal motorcycle collision happened around 11:59 p.m. Saturday. Under unclear circumstances, a motorcyclist collided with a Toyota sedan south of Highway 92.
The individual operating the motorcycle perished at the scene and the driver of the sedan stayed on site and cooperated with police investigators.
Authorities had to close all northbound lanes due to the investigation and divert traffic onto Highway 92.
Reports did not say what led to the accident, but an ongoing investigation should confirm these details.
