Motorcycle Officer Hurt in Hit-and-Run Crash on 110 Freeway in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CA (August 4, 2022) — A motorcycle officer was injured in Thursday’s hit-and-run accident on the 110 Freeway near the 105 Freeway.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the hit-and-run accident happened around 8:06 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, 2014 or 2015 white BMW convertible shuttling two men collided with a motorcycle officer near the 105 Freeway interchange. Rather than stopping to assist the officer, the occupants in the BMW fled southbound on the 110 Freeway leaving the officer in an unknown condition.
Soon after, paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the officer to a local hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, authorities issued a SigAlert for the 110 Freeway to divert traffic to the 105 Freeway. Two hours later, officials lifted the SigAlert.
At this time, investigators need the public’s help in identifying the suspects involved in this hit-and-run. If anyone has more information, please contact the California Highway Patrol.
