Hit-and-Run Driver Arrested after Crash on 12th Street in Tracy

 
TRACY, CA (August 4, 2021) – A motorcycle officer suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on 12th Street on July 29.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Lincoln Boulevard at approximately 7:00 AM.
 
Based on reports, the motorcycle officer was about to turn onto 12th from northbound Lincoln at the time of the crash. At that time, a vehicle headed east on 12th ran a stop sign. Then, the vehicle crashed into the officer. Subsequently, the driver left the scene without rendering aid to the victim. Then, the vehicle went south on Lincoln Boulevard and struck a tree.
 
As a result, the motorcycle officer suffered injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening. Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital.
 
In the end, officers who responded to the scene took the hit-and-run driver into custody. At this point, this hit-and-run crash is still under investigation by the Tracy Police Department.
