Injuries Sustained in Rollover Crash on Highway 99 in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 21, 2021) – Paramedics transported a mother and her three children to the hospital following a rollover crash on southbound Highway 99 on September 15.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Kimberlina Road around 12:15 PM.
Based on an initial report, the victims were in an SUV on the road at the time of the crash. Then, a tire separation caused the SUV to leave the roadway and flip over. Subsequently, the impact ejected all occupants from the vehicle. Officials said the victims were not wearing any safety restraints at the time of the crash.
As a result, all four victims suffered injuries in the incident. Paramedics transported the mother and her two children to the hospital by ambulance. However, an air ambulance sent one child to Kern Medical with moderate injuries. The three children are between two and four years old.
At this point, an investigation into the rollover crash on Highway 99 is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
