Bicyclist Dies after Struck by SUV on Willow Glen Drive near Dehesa Road

 
EL CAJON, CA (February 23, 2021) – Authorities identified the man who died in a bicycle accident Wednesday on February 10 in El Cajon.
 
The accident happened around 7:20 p.m. on Willow Glen Drive near Dehesa Road.
 
According to El Cajon Police Department, 32-year-old Mohamed Rashid Ismail of La Mesa was riding his bicycle eastbound on Willow Glen Drive when an SUV traveling in the same direction struck him.
 
Witnesses immediately called 911. Paramedics arrived soon after, but Ismail died at the scene.
 
No further details were released. This accident remains under investigation.
