11 Cars Involved in Multi-Vehicle Accident on 280 Freeway near Ocean Avenue in San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (March 25, 2022) – Minor injuries were reported following a multi-vehicle accident on 280 Freeway on Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on March 22 at about 7:30 a.m. As per reports, eleven vehicles became involved in a pileup near Ocean Avenue.
Emergency responders reported minor injuries as a result of the collision. However, the total number of people injured remains unknown.
Officers believe that the pileup was caused by people driving with the sun in their eyes. Investigators added that the Daylight Savings Time might have also affected the drivers.
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
