SONORA, CA (March 7, 2022) – Police identified Mikkel Schwiesow and Zachary Bacis as those involved in a head-on crash on Highway 108 on February 25.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at Peaceful Oak Road at approximately 5:15 PM.
 
Based on a report, 37-year-old Schwiesow of Sonora was driving his 2012 Ford Explorer eastbound on the road at the time of the crash. At the same time, 29-year-old Bacis was driving a tow truck with another vehicle in tow in the opposite direction.
 
Due to unknown reasons, Schwiesow’s vehicle directly entered the path of the tow truck, causing a collision.
 
As a result, Schwiesow suffered pain in his chest and a bloody nose. Immediately, paramedics transported him to Adventist Health Sonora for treatment. Bacis suffered pain in his left arm.
