Driver Standing Next to Disabled SUV Dies after Struck by Another Car in City of Industry

 
INDUSTRY, CA (February 25, 2022) – Miguel Rios Ledesma was killed in a pedestrian accident on 60 Freeway near the city of Industry, early Wednesday morning.
 
The accident happened around 2:20 a.m. on February 23, just east of 605 Freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, Ledesma was driving a 2005 Ford Escape that crashed into the center divider and became disabled. He got out and stood next to the driver’s side door of his SUV.
 
A short time later, a 2012 Toyota Highlander struck Ledesma, causing him significant injuries.
 
Despite life-saving efforts, Ledesma died at the scene. He was a 56-year-old Huntington Park resident.
 
The driver of the Highlander was not injured. He remained on scene and cooperated with authorities.
