Miguel Hernandez Detained in DUI Crash on Western Avenue near Webster Street

 
PETALUMA, CA (April 25, 2022) — Miguel Hernandez faces charges in a DUI accident on Western Avenue near Webster Street on Saturday.
 
According to reports, the DUI crash happened around 4:34 a.m. For drunk driving reasons, 30-year-old Hernandez lost control of his car, causing it to roll over and hit a parked pickup truck. Soon after, Petaluma Fire Department officials and police arrived at the scene to investigate.
 
Upon arriving, paramedics brought two female passengers inside the vehicle to Petaluma Valley Hospital for treatment of minor injuries while police questioned Hernandez.
 
During the interview, Hernandez fed officers an alibi about another man driving their car, as all three occupants had been impaired. However, a Ring surveillance footage obtained from a nearby neighborhood confirmed otherwise, revealing that Hernandez was the driver at the time.
 
At this time, Hernandez remains incarcerated at Sonoma County Jail. If anyone has more information, please call the Petaluma Police.
