Michael Watson Fatally Struck by Car on Johnson Drive near Owens Drive

 
PLEASANTON, CA (February 23, 2021) – A man died in a pedestrian accident in Pleasanton Friday evening, February 19.
 
The Alameda County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 53-year-old Michael Watson of Dublin.
 
According to Pleasanton Police, Watson was walking in the roadway on Johnson Drive near Owens Drive when he was hit around 7:40 p.m. by a car heading southbound. The driver immediately called 911 to report the collision.
 
Paramedics arrived soon after and rushed Watson to Eden Medical Center, where he later died.
 
Police said it has not been determined whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. They asked anyone with further information to contact the Pleasanton Police Department Traffic Unit at (925) 931-5100.
