Michael “KiXSTAr” Stockley – Popular Caster, Streamer, and Former Professional Player – Killed in Alameda County Car Crash
ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA (October 14, 2021) – One person was killed in a rollover accident on Redwood Road near Pinehurst Road on Monday evening, September 11.
On Wednesday, Alameda County Coroner’s Office identified him as 24-year-old Michael Stockley of Alameda. Stockley, who was well known under the name “KiXSTAr”, was a popular Rainbow Six Siege caster, streamer, and former professional player.
At 9:23 p.m. Monday, California Highway Patrol officers responded to reports of a vehicle collision in unincorporated Alameda County. When officers with CHP’s Castro Valley office arrived, they found an overturned 2020 BMW 330i with its driver trapped behind the wheel.
Police stated the BMW was traveling southbound on Redwood south of Pinehurst when it made a sudden right-hand turn. As a result, the BMW left the roadway, traveling up a dirt berm and overturned after colliding with an embankment.
Oakland firefighters, who also responded to the scene, pronounced Stockley dead at the scene.
Preliminary information provided by CHP investigators found that Stockley was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.
Impairment does not appear to be a factor in the accident. However, the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
