Car Crashes into Power Pole in La Mirada Killing Both Father and Daughter

 
LA MIRADA, CA (May 2, 2022) – Michael Oliveri and Karlie Daily died in a car accident in La Mirada Saturday morning.
 
The accident happened just before 8:00 a.m. on April 30 near Beach Boulevard and Rosecrans Avenue. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Oliveri was driving a gray Chrysler 300 at a high rate of speed when the car sheared a fire hydrant. It then slammed into a power pole and landed in the area of a Shell gas station.
 
Oliveri, a 46-year-old Whittier resident, and his daughter Daily, 21 years old from La Habra, both died at the scene.
 
Deputies are still trying to determine whether drugs or alcohol was involved. An investigation is underway.
