Michael Moore Involved in Hit-and-Run Crash on East Pine Avenue in Lompoc

 
LOMPOC, CA (October 25, 2021) – Police arrested Michael Moore following a hit-and-run crash on East Pine Avenue on October 19.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened on Pine Avenue at H Street around 6:54 PM.
 
Based on an initial report, officers found a 65-year-old man down on the road. Police said a vehicle struck the man and fled the scene. Witnesses last the vehicle before it turned northbound on H street.
 
As a result, the pedestrian suffered serious injuries in the incident. Paramedics airlifted the victim to an area hospital, where he is in serious condition.
 
Afterward, Lompoc Police officers used nearby surveillance cameras to identify the vehicle. Subsequently, they located it at a local hotel. Officers obtained more surveillance and were able to identify and arrest the driver, 51-year-old Michael Moore.
