Michael Brown Detained in Deadly Hit-and-Run DUI Pedestrian Crash on Stockton Boulevard near Whitelock Parkway

 
ELK GROVE, CA (November 28, 2022) — Michael Brown faces charges in a fatal hit-and-run DUI pedestrian accident on Stockton Boulevard near Whitelock Parkway.
 
According to Elk Grove Police officers, the fatal hit-and-run happened around 5:20 a.m. on November 23. Under unclear circumstances, 54-year-old Brown struck a man near West Stockton Boulevard and Whitelock Parkway. Responding authorities tried to save the man’s life. However, the unidentified victim succumbed to his injuries.
 
Inferring from evidence at the scene, Elk Grove officers believe the victim was in the street when the accident occurred. Using footage from nearby traffic cameras, officers tracked the vehicle to a house in North Sacramento, where they arrested Brown. At the time, Brown showed signs of impairment, which led to his arrest.
