Mayra Fisher Dies after Hit by Truck at Olive and Recreation Avenues

 
FRESNO, CA (August 14, 2022) – Mayra Fisher died after being hit by a truck in Fresno on Wednesday morning, August 10.
 
The accident happened around 5:15 a.m. in the area of Olive Avenue and Recreation Avenue. According to the Fresno Police Department, the 38-year-old victim was walking at the intersection when the truck hit her.
 
When officers arrived, they found Fisher suffering from major injuries. Paramedics rushed her to a local hospital, where she later died.
 
The driver of the truck remained on scene and cooperated with police.
 
Police said drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor on the part of the driver. Further investigation is underway.
