Mary Corning Killed in Bakersfield Pedestrian Crash at Truxtun Avenue and Haley Street

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 25, 2021)Mary Corning died in a pedestrian accident at Truxtun Avenue and Haley Street Friday night.
 
According to Bakersfield Police officers, the fatal pedestrian crash happened just after 10:00 p.m. Under unknown circumstances, a driver struck and killed 56-year-old Mary Elizabeth Corning. It’s unclear if she was in a marked crosswalk at the time of the incident.
 
Soon after, authorities responded and pronounced her deceased at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle stayed back and cooperated with police investigators.
