Authorities Identify Marquis Evans as Driver Killed in California City Crash

 
CALIFORNIA CITY, CA (March 6, 2022) – Marquis Adrien Evans died in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 14 in California City, early Sunday morning.
 
The accident happened around 2:20 a.m. on March 6 just south of California City Boulevard. According to the California Police Department, two vehicles collided for unknown reasons. As a result, one of them rolled about 40 to 50 feet off the roadway, where it landed on its roof.
 
As a result, Evans suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was a 46-year-old California City resident and one of the drivers involved.
 
The condition of the other driver was not immediately known.
 
The cause of the crash is still unclear at this time. Further investigation is underway.
