Marquez Lizardo Involved in DUI Accident on West Valley Boulevard in Alhambra

 
ALHAMBRA, CA (March 26, 2021) – Police arrested Marquez Lizardo after a fatal accident in the 3000 block of West Valley Boulevard on March 25.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 9:45 PM.
 
Based on a report, a single vehicle was traveling westbound on Valley Boulevard at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, it struck a concrete light pole.
 
As a result, a 21-year-old woman who was riding in the vehicle was seriously hurt in the incident. Crews transported her to a hospital, where she died. Her name was withheld, pending notification of her relatives.
 
Officers detained two adult males at the scene. They later arrested the driver of the vehicle, Marquez Lizardo, 22, on suspicion of murder and felony driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. At this point, the Alhambra Police Department is still investigating the case.
