Mark Iskander, Jacob Iskander Die, Scott Erickson Charged in Pedestrian Crash
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA (February 8, 2021) — Mark Iskander and Jacob Iskander were killed in a pedestrian accident at Triunfo Canyon Road and Saddle Mountain Road on September 29.
According to reports, 11-year-old Mark Iskander and 8-year-old Jacob Iskander tried crossing the street when the accident occurred. Per statements, the brothers were crossing with their parents in a marked crosswalk.
However, as the family did, Rebecca Grossman purportedly struck the boys while street racing. According to prosecutors, Grossman continued before stopping about a quarter mile from the scene.
At this time, she has not been charged with DUI, despite initial reports of her driving while under the influence.
Reportedly accompanying her was 52-year-old Scott Erick — a former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher.
According to investigators, police have charged him with reckless driving in connection to the September incident. However, his attorney denies his participation with 57-year-old Grossman. His attorney stated he had passed safely through the intersection before the accident occurred.
While Erickson faces an arraignment scheduled on March 16, Grossman remains free on $2 million bail, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
