Mark Bocanegra Dies in Scooter Accident on Church Avenue [Highland, CA]

Mark Bocanegra Killed in Scooter Crash on Church Avenue at Stratford Street

 
HIGHLAND, CA (September 15, 2021) — Mark Bocanegra died in a scooter accident on Church Avenue at Stratford Street Saturday night.
 
According to reports, the fatal incident happened around 8:15 p.m. Under circumstances that need more examination, 52-year-old Bocanegra rode into the path of a 2015 Ford F-150 whose driver had made a left turn onto Stratford Street from Church Avenue. Both vehicles collided.
 
Due to the significant impact, Bocanegra suffered major injuries and died shortly after. In the investigation, authorities learned that the front of the 50cc scooter struck the passenger side of the Ford, ejecting Bocanegra from his scooter.
 
Following the accident, the 19-year-old driver of the Ford stayed at the scene and was not arrested by police. Since the crash details demand more investigating, anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team.
