Mark Baldiviez Involved in Fatal Car Accident on 15 Freeway in Fallbrook

 
FALLBROOK, CA (September 23, 2021) – Police identified Mark Baldiviez as the victim who died in a car accident on 15 Freeway on September 12.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at approximately 2:34 AM.
 
Based on an initial report, a 2016 Nissan was traveling southbound on the freeway at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, the vehicle left the highway, striking a guard rail with the right side of their vehicle. Due to impact, the guard rail entered the vehicle.
 
As a result, the driver and his passenger suffered injuries. CHP and North County Fire responded to the scene. Emergency crews airlifted both victims to Palomar Medical Center, where one of the victims died. Officials identified him as a 56-year-old Mark Baldiviez, a Riverside resident.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. Also, no other details are available.
