Passenger Dies after Car Overturns on 15 Freeway near Afton Canyon Road

 
BAKER, CA (February 28, 2021) – A woman was killed in a rollover accident Monday morning last week in Baker.
 
The accident happened around 6:39 a.m., February 22, on 15 Freeway south of Afton Canyon Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle was traveling on the freeway when it overturned for unknown reasons.
 
As a result, the female passenger in the car suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
The San Bernardino County Coroner’s office identified her as Maria Guzman Palapa, 21, of Las Vegas, Nevada.
 
CHP officials are still trying to determine whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
