43-Year-Old Maria Hernandez Identified as Woman Killed in Hemet Two-Vehicle Crash

 
HEMET, CA (October 18, 2021) – Authorities identified 43-year-old Maria Hernandez of Hemet as the victim killed in a two-vehicle accident on Domenigoni Parkway, Friday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on October 15, at about 9:40 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, two vehicles collided at the intersection of Domenigoni Parkway and Winchester Road.
 
The impact of the crash trapped one person inside a wrecked vehicle. Firefighters from Cal Fire-Riverside freed the trapped victim.
 
Paramedics transported at least two people to local hospitals for treatment of minor to moderate injuries.
 
However, one other victim, later identified as Hernandez, was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:53 p.m.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
