Head-On Crash in San Jacinto Badly Injures 1 Driver, Police Arrest Maria Arcemiranda for DUI

 
SAN JACINTO, CA (March 9, 2022) – Police arrested 38-year-old Maria Mercedes Arcemiranda for DUI after a head-on accident in San Jacinto late Sunday evening, March 6.
 
The accident happened on North State Street, just south of West Community College Way. According to the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station, Arcemiranda was driving a dark gray Honda when she lost control. The Honda then jumped the center median and collided head-on into an oncoming red Toyota Prius.
 
When officers arrived, they located both cars with major front-end damage. They also found the driver of the Toyota trapped inside the car.
 
The driver of the Toyota suffered serious injuries and was taken to Riverside University Health System in Moreno Valley.
 
Meanwhile, Arcemiranda had minor injuries. Police later arrested and booked her into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning on suspicion of DUI and providing false information to a peace officer.
