Coroner Identifies Pedestrian Killed in Early Morning Hit-and-Run Crash in Antioch
ANTIOCH, CA (December 21, 2021) – Marcus Westbrook died in a hit-and-run crash in Antioch early Monday morning.
The fatal crash happened around 12:13 a.m. on December 20, in the 1200 block of Sunset Drive. According to the Antioch Police Department, officers found Westbrook lying down in the street unresponsive and with major injuries.
Despite life-saving efforts, Westbrook died at the scene. He was a 40-year-old Pittsburg resident.
Authorities said it appeared that the victim had been struck by a car that did not stop.
At this time, the hit-and-run suspect remains at large. Police are still investigating the incident.
