Marco Fonseca Arrested in DUI Car Accident at Cottonwood Street and Day Street

 
MORENO VALLEY, CA (January 21, 2021) — Police arrested a 21-year-old man in Tuesday’s DUI car accident at Cottonwood Street and Day Street.
 
According to Riverside County sheriff’s officials, the car accident occurred around 7:00 p.m.
 
Authorities believe Marco Antonio Fonseca ran a red traffic light and slammed his southbound Nissan into a westbound BMW on Cottonwood Street.
 
As a result, a BMW passenger suffered major injuries upon being ejected from the cabin. As for the BMW driver, he or she sustained moderate injuries in the crash.
 
Soon after, paramedics transported them to Riverside University Medical Center for treatment while police investigated the crash.
 
Following their examination, police booked Fonseca, of Hemet, into the Robert Presley Jail in Riverside on DUI charges.
