Marcelo Sixto Arrested for DUI after Causing Multi-Car Accident on Del Monte Boulevard in Monterey

 
MONTEREY, CA (June 13, 2021) – Police arrested Marcelo Sixto, 18, following a DUI accident on Del Monte Boulevard on June 6.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at El Camino Estero just after 7:30 PM.
 
Based on a report, Sixto was driving his vehicle at three times the blood alcohol limit at the time of the crash. Due to unknown circumstances, he crashed his vehicle into two other cars. Then, Sixto and his passenger, Fidencio Lopez-Daniel, 21, of Santa Rita, ran from the scene before police arrived on the scene.
 
As a result, emergency crews recorded injuries sustained by involved motorists.
 
In the end, Monterey Police located Marcelo Sixto and Lopez-Daniel near Cortes and Pearl. Police arrested Sixto for driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury and other charges. They arrested Lopez-Daniel for public intoxication.
