Manuel Sandoval Arrested, Woman Killed in Car Crash on Woodley Avenue at Parthenia Street

 
NORTH HILLS, CA (March 4, 2022) — Officials arrested 26-year-old Manuel Sandoval after a fatal car accident on Wednesday, March 2.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash happened about 7:00 p.m. on Woodley Avenue at Parthenia Street.
 
Sandoval allegedly drove a 1999 Chevrolet pickup at a high rate of speed southbound on Woodley Avenue. Then it ran a red light and crashed with a white Nissan sedan, police said.
 
Police reports said the Nissan negotiated a left turn onto westbound Parthenia Street from Woodley Avenue. Then the incident happened. The impact of the crash forced both vehicles to travel in a southwest direction. It caused the Chevrolet pickup to roll over and the Nissan crashed with the sidewalk and a light pole.
 
The Nissan driver, a woman in her mid-30s, succumbed to her sustained injuries at a hospital. Officials withheld her name pending notification of her relatives.
 
Sandoval suffered injuries and medics rushed her to a hospital where he is still in police custody. Police said they expect Sandoval to be booked on suspicion of murder.
