Fatal Pedestrian Accident on El Camino Real in Millbrae

 
MILLBRAE, CA (March 12, 2021) – A man in a motorized wheelchair was killed Tuesday morning in a pedestrian accident on El Camino Real.
 
According to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, the man was in the crosswalk going west across El Camino Real in the 700 block when a Nissan struck him. The crash happened around 6:00 a.m., March 9.
 
Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
 
Authorities only identified the victim as a 63-year-old Millbrae resident.
 
The Nissan driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators, who do not believe impairment is a factor in the collision.
