Wheelchair-Bound Man Dies after Struck by Hit-And-Run Sedan on Vineland Avenue in North Hollywood

 
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA (July 3, 2022) – A man in a wheelchair died in a hit-and-run crash on Vineland Avenue in North Hollywood early Sunday morning on July 3.
 
The fatal crash happened around 2:55 a.m. between Sherman Way and Vanowen Street. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, dark-colored, four-door sedan was traveling southbound on Vineland Avenue when it struck the female pedestrian.
 
After striking the victim, the driver fled the scene.
 
Responding paramedics attempted life-saving aid, but the pedestrian died at the scene.
 
Authorities only described the victim as someone in his early 50s.
 
The LAPD’s Valley Traffic Division urged anyone with information regarding the crash to call them at 818-644-8036 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
