Hit-and-Run Crash on Clairemont Drive in Bay Park Leaves Man with Severe Head Trauma

 
BAY PARK, CA (April 19, 2021) – A 50-year-old man was severely injured in a hit-and-run crash on Clairemont Drive midblock in Bay Park Saturday morning, April 17.
 
The incident happened around 9:15 a.m. near Burgener Boulevard. According to the San Diego Police Department, the man was crossing outside of a crosswalk when a woman driving a white vehicle struck him.
 
As a result, the pedestrian suffered head trauma. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital in critical condition.
 
After the crash, the female driver fled the scene and remains at large.
 
Traffic Division officers are investigating the incident.
