Driver Suffers Major Injuries after Crash with Tractor on Westside Boulevard in Merced County

 
MERCED COUNTY, CA (April 23, 2022) – A man suffered serious injuries in an accident at Westside Boulevard and Griffith Avenue in Merced County on Tuesday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 4:54 p.m. on April 19. CHP officials said the man was driving a sedan eastbound on Westside Boulevard when he collided with cultivation discs that were being towed by a tractor in the westbound lane of Westside Boulevard.
 
Responding paramedics found the driver of the sedan suffering from major injuries to his upper body. They transported him to a regional hospital in an unknown condition.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the tractor did not sustain any injuries.
 
The California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation. Neither drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
